Not all classes are offered on a regular basis. Any class can be scheduled with a minimum of 3 dogs, so talk to your friends. Have a special request? Let me know.
Proof of rabies vaccination is required for attendance in any class except puppy.
Puppy - 4 weeks
Socialization, play, and introduction to training and grooming. It’s much easier to teach good habits than to break bad ones later. Get your puppy off to a good start and have your questions answered. For puppies 8 to 14 weeks, current for age on vaccinations. (Proof required) Click Here To Sign Up!
Beginner - 7 weeks
For dogs of any age. Puppies as young as 10 weeks can benefit from this class. You will learn about manners, behavior, loose leash walking, and of course the “basic obedience commands” such as sit, down, stand, stay, and come when called. Limit: 8 dogs Click Here To Sign Up!
Beginning Clicker Class - 7 weeks
As implied, a beginning class using a clicker and the principles of operant conditioning. Basic obedience commands, taught with a fun and games approach. Some manners, dog care, and behavior concepts will also be discussed. First week without dogs.

Intermediate or Advanced
No start or stop dates. Continues where beginner classes leave off, adding distractions, heeling, longer stays, etc. Incorporates tricks and games to challenge human and doggie minds! Pay in advance by the week, or call to confirm. No attendance commitment or minimum number of classes. Limit 8 dogs
Specialty Classes
Manners - 4 weeks
A problem solving class for dogs who jump on people, bolt out the door, body block you, or have other annoying, pushy or demanding habits. Limit: 4 dogs Click Here To Sign Up!
Come and Walk With Me - 4 weeks
For those people who already have a great dog, but would give anything if he/she would come when called and NOT pull them down the street. Limit: 4 dogs Click Here To Sign Up!
Fearful Fido - 4 weeks
For shy or fearful dogs. Learn to understand your dog and help him to be more confident. Limit: 4 dogs. Click Here To Sign Up!
Reform School - 4 weeks
For dogs who should know better. They may have been to class and forgot everything, or they may be OK at home but out-of-control in public. Maybe they just don’t pay attention. A review of basic obedience with special focus on solving your particular problem. Limit: 4 dogs. Click Here To Sign Up!
Private Training
Behavior Consultation and Training
For dogs with behavior that is not acceptable for family living. This could mean aggression, fear, destructiveness, house-soiling, separation anxiety, introducing a new dog to the household, or whatever your specific problem might be. An initial consultation will take about 1 ½ hours and will include an assessment/diagnosis of the problem, a plan for behavior modification, and if desired, a written report for your veterinarian. Some behavior problems may be the result of a health issue and a veterinary exam and possibly blood work or other tests may be recommended before a behavior consultation. Click Here To Sign Up!
Pre-Adoption or Pre-Purchase Counseling
A helpful program for first-time dog owners or anyone looking for the “right” puppy. Learn about breed characteristics to choose the right dog for your lifestyle. What are the exercise, training and grooming requirements? What can you expect from your new puppy? What do you need to do to puppy-proof your home?
Are you planning to adopt from a shelter? Do you know what you are looking for or how to evaluate that shelter dog to see if it’s right for you? If desired, I can be present to help with temperament evaluation, assist you in finding reputable breeders or rescue organizations, or get you started on an individualized training program for your new dog, to prevent problems before they start. Dog and Baby Counseling
Prepare your dog for the new baby. Most dogs are curious, but some may resent losing your undivided attention. Learn what potential problems to anticipate and how to avoid or minimize them. Does your dog have behavior problems now? Let’s get started on managing those before the new arrival.
